They are calm and NOT looking to "try you out" on the trail - they also gait EASILY and SMOOTHLY. I stake my reputation on this.
I'm trying to keep the sold page current but I am behind!!! I do want to ackowledge my gratitude to the wonderful people who have come into my life and my home and purchased horses from me. THANK YOU!
I am able to put moving clips easily on the youtube site so sometimes it lists the newest arrivals first.
Call Melissa and talk to her about "just the right horse" for you. If I don't have it here, (and I've got over 15 horses for sale here!), then I might know of one in Tennessee that I have'nt been able to bring up yet. Talk to me about pricing too. I want to find a horse a home for life AND sell a horse. I do what it takes to make a deal.
You won't regret buying a horse from Bailey's Walking-After-Midnight Farm. Each sale is a custom experience designed by you. We give you a trial period at your new farm, riding lessons here on your new horse, a guarantee of the health and soundness of your new horse, (and we comply with getting the horse into a boarding facillity too). We give a new bit and bridle to each horse, can assist delivering your new horse, invite you to stay in our home (must like dogs and cats) to spend a few days working with our horse savvy staff to ride various horses in different scenarios so that you can make your decision with confidence. I can't change the world, but I can give you a great experience buying a horse. We like to think we are "accountable" to you and our horse, long after the sale. |

He's very agreeable under saddle!

Height: 15h plus
Color: Black and White Tobiano

Patches is a a fabulous ride! He is willing to please, talented - this means mega smooth and responsive (this is a sports car) - and he can also pull a cart!
Brought out of the finest spotted saddle horse bloodlines and trainers we can find in Tennessee, he has proven he is trail savvy, but what a show stopper he is. Why not ride a horse that will make everyone stop and admire!
There is nothing this boy won't do, except give you a hard time. This horse IS a pleasure to ride.
Traffic safe, crosses water, rides alone and with the group. Please call Melissa at (540)303-0569 or email Melissa@Walking-After-Midnight.com and ask for more information about Patches. See moving clips of Patches on our www.youtube.com/blackwidowfarm site too. I can email most of these to you. |

Generator's Magic Copper
Foaled: April 26, 2005
Breed: TWHBEA
Gender: Gelding
Height: 15.1h
Color: Liver Chestnut
Sale Price: $5,000
Copper is a gentle, willing to please trail horse that gaits smoothly and effortlessly.
He is hills of Tennessee broke, with lots and lots of trail miles. You can ride this boy anywhere. With other horses or alone. He is looking to bond with that special rider that wants to clock lots of hours in the woods, or on a country road. He likes to jump logs on the trail too.
We are very impressed with his loving attitude and natural and smooth gait. He is a lover boy too!
On J an. 29, 2010, we took Copper, BlackJack, Stormy, Big Joe, and my Joe to Gettysburg for one of our famous Walking-After-Midnight Trail Rides. What a blast we had! All the horses were fabulous - I just can't find the words to describe the joyful experience it was, and the point to this tirade of words is: Copper is an awesome ride. He gaits beautifully, Don our trainer was riding him, clowning around like he always does and was hanging off his side, then from Copper's back he was trying to push ME off my horse (Don thinks he's funny, let's NOT encourage him!!) - Copper endured all this extra foolishness with out a bobble.
This is an experienced trail horse that is behaved and dependable. (This IS what we specialize).
Please call Melissa at (540)303-0569 or email Melissa@Walking-After-Midnight.com and ask for more information about our boy Copper. |

Neck reins, parks out to get on and won't throw you in the bushes. Broke for anyone!

Stormy Lone Ranger (Stormy)
Foaled: Dec. 15, 2000 (9 yrs old)
Breed: SSHBEA
Gender: Gelding
Height: 15.3h and stocky (1,100 lbs)
Color: Black and White
Sale Price: $7,850
Beautiful and CALM 9 yr old "stocky made"gelding that is broke for ANY member of your family.
He's people oriented, easy to catch, GREAT ground manners and under saddle we have not found anything that makes him spook! (Rode through a big ice/hale down pour, not a flinch at that...).
Traffic safe
Pulls a wagon/buggy single or double (been used to pull a Wedding Carriage for hire)
Ridden in Parades
Parks out for you to get on!!
Stands when you drop the lead roap(Ground Ties) Baths/clips/ and loads in a trailer with NO problems.
Has lots of tril experience) and has had Field Trials (
An ideal ride for any member of your family. A big guy can ride him, a small kid could ride him, this size of horse with this type of temperment is NOT easy for me to find so I'm very excited to offer him for sale to a loving forever home.
I like to call this "Pleasure Riding". The ride we are all looking for.
He has been there and done that, from west Tennessee where the emphasis is more on trail riding than show riding, so his pedigree has been selected for saneness instead of cocked up in the bridle show horse.
He has not been traded around either. One family has owned him since he was broke out.
Please call me if you'd like to discuss Stormy the 10 yr old. (We just sold another horse named Stormy so sorry for any confusion). (540)303-0569 or email melissa@walking-after-midnight.com. |

Great addition to your family!

This boy will do anything you ask except give you a hard time!

Myles
8 yr old
Tenn Walking Horse Gelding
$5,350
15.1h
Blood Bay
Novice Rider approved! This quiet gentle Tennessee beauty would love to spend days trail riding with you and your family. He is NOT jumpy, goes any where you point him, and is happy to walk but gaits effortlessly too. He is not motored up under saddle.
I can ride him with the group and I can easily leave the group and ride alone. This horse IS quiet in the mind and FUN TO RIDE!!!!.
Hills of Tennessee broke so you know he's been there, done that and worn the t-shirt. We LOVE Myles and know who ever adopts him will have a reliable mount for themselves and their family.
We use Myles for our "rent by hour" trail rides - another facet of our farm - we trust him to carry novice riders - a horse that is this dependable does not come along every day.
Myles is a real love bug too. Easy to catch and loves attention.
This is the horse you are looking for!! Call Melissa for more info on Myles at (540)303-0569 and ask for digital images of Myles under saddle too. You can also see clips of Myles on our www.youtube.com/blackwidowfarm site. |

Ride in Style!! A 9 yr old gelding with no vices
|
Master Thief (we call him BlackJack)
Foaled: July 28, 2000
Breed: TWHBEA
Gender: Gelding
Height: 15h
Color: Black
Sale Price: $6,350
This is the ride you are looking for!! Smooth, like a sports car - voom, you want to gait, he gaits, let up on the accelerator and he drops down nice and gentle to a relaxed "dog walk". (Thanks walking horse talk for he is happy to walk slowly).
This horse was only owned by one family, and they rode him and loved him. He was also shown a few times but ofcourse never sored or padded, but he is talented and FUN TO RIDE.
You can put a huband or wife of guest on him but - you want to ride this horse. He is a head turner on the trails too. Ride BlackJack alone, with other horses, let the other horses go on from you, he is well behaved and not a brat!
He went on our trail ride to Gettysburg last friday, (Jan. 29, 2010), with Copper, Stormy, Big Joe, and my Joe - and BlackJack was a Star. This is the epitomy of the walking horse breed. A classy and comfortable trail horse that is not looking to throw you in the bushes. Call me about this horse. THIS IS WHAT YOU ARE LOOKING FOR.
Please call Melissa at (540)303-0569 or email Melissa@Walking-After-Midnight.com. See BlackJack on our www.youtube.com/blackwidowfarm site. He's down there a ways. I can email you clips of him under saddle too.

This is Saint's Daddy, Andy and Melissa (photo taken by Linda Parker
http://lindaparker.zenfolio.com/ )
Andy is one of the world's largest Tennessee Walking Horse stallions, we think he IS the worlds largest Spotted Saddle Horse Stallion. (He is double registered). We know his is the gentlest stallion - ever. Anyone can go in the paddock with him and pet him.
|
Walking After Saint (Saint)
Foaled: July 28, 2008
Breed: SSHBEA
Gender: Stallion (Homozygous)
Height: should mature to 16.3h plus?
Color: Tri Color Tobiano
Sale Price: Let's talk
This is our 19 mos old stud colt, already standing at 15.2h, named Saint. He is out of our homozygous mare Queenie, and out of Andy, one of the worlds largest TWHBEA and SSHBEA stallions. Saint should grow as big as him - but I don't want to pressume to know God's plan here, so let's just say - he is going to be REALLY BIG and GENTLE.
He has 2 blue eyes, this makes him mesmerizing, and in the case of all of this colt's siblings, they have been kid broke when they were 2 and a half years old.
Saint's daddy, Andy, is not for sale but standing at Stud here at our farm. Saint is top quality Spotted Saddle horse with a natural effortless and smooth gait, and has been handled extensively since he was born.
He's easy to catch and work around. He is not full of himself, but he is a stud colt and a darn big one at that. He loves people and is easy to catch. We have him turned out with geldings in a paddock so he is socialized with horses. The girls don't have his attention yet. He could be gelded - but he is Homozygous, this means he's guaranteed to throw spots. Do we want to castrate what could potentially be the biggest, sweetest, smoothest Spotted Saddle Horse Stud? I'll wait and see what kind of interest comes from this advertisement....
I have lot's of people inquiring about Andy, (Saint's Sire), some to purchase and some to breed to.
Andy is 16 yrs old now and he doesn't ever need to go to another home, he is here to stay, and I don't ship semen, - so here is another option - Saint. He could be castrated too, and I don't need 2 stallions on this farm, (besides Charlie Bailey :) so I am testing the waters so to speak to see what options the universe has for Saint. I'll be starting him under saddle in the spring.
Please call me if you'd like to discuss Saint. (540)303-0569 or email melissa@walking-after-midnight.com. |
